Pricing

AccountMate doesn’t publish prices. Licenses are sold by custom quote through its network of authorized solution providers, and the cost depends on the deployment you choose — installed locally on your own hardware, SaaS (a subscription that includes hosting), or hosted. Because the product is modular, the total also varies with which modules you license and how many users you need.

Pros

Competitor Pros of AccountMate
QuickBooks Online AccountMate is sold and implemented through its authorised Solution Provider network, and the software can be installed locally, taken as SaaS or hosted, in either standard or modified form. Source code level modification through its Professional Services group means a distributor can change how the system behaves rather than work around it, which QuickBooks Online’s standard build does not allow. Inventory is tracked by serial number, unit of measure, warehouse and bin location, well past what QuickBooks Online’s $38 Simple Start or $115 Plus plans cover.
NetSuite Because modules are licensed individually through a reseller quote, a company can buy General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Sales Order and Manufacturing without paying for a full ERP suite it will not use. Manufacturing covers bills of material, kitting and lot or serial control, and Accounts Payable handles invoice matching, ACH and cheque runs and 1099 tracking. The vendor has been shipping this system for 35 years and counts more than 125,000 users, most of them in wholesale distribution and manufacturing.
Sage Intacct The multi segmented chart of accounts and a report designer let a niche business shape reporting around its own structure instead of a fixed cloud template. Deployment stays a choice rather than a default: installed locally, hosted, or SaaS, with the same product underneath. Training and onboarding come through the vendor’s own education programme, in virtual classrooms or online, plus product maintenance and technical support as named services.
Xero AccountMate handles the transaction volumes and module depth that Xero deliberately leaves alone, including manufacturing, purchase orders tied to safety stock, and warehouse and bin level inventory. Xero’s US plans run $25 for Early, $55 for Growing and $90 for Established, and the $25 Early plan caps you at 20 invoices and 5 bills a month. A reseller led implementation also means the software arrives configured for the business rather than as an empty subscription.

Cons

Competitor Cons of AccountMate
QuickBooks Online There is no public price: the AccountMate site lists no rate card and sends buyers to “Find a Reseller”, so every quote comes through a Solution Provider. QuickBooks Online publishes $38 for Simple Start, $75 for Essentials, $115 for Plus and $275 for Advanced, and a business can be running the same afternoon. The AccountMate interface also shows its desktop lineage next to a browser first product.
NetSuite Scaling into true enterprise territory is not what this system is for; it targets small and mid sized wholesale distributors and manufacturers rather than multi entity global groups. Modifications made to the source code are the same thing that can complicate upgrades later, because a customised build has to be re fitted. Dashboard analytics are thin compared with what a modern cloud finance suite puts on the landing page.
Sage Intacct Reporting is customisable but built through a report designer rather than assembled from live dashboards, so insight takes setup work. Customisation itself is a project: it runs through the vendor’s Professional Services group or a reseller, not through a configuration screen. Anyone expecting to self serve changes over a weekend has the wrong tool.
Xero Compared with Xero at $25 a month for Early, AccountMate means a licence quote, an implementation and usually a reseller engagement before go live. Mobile use is not the design point here: remote access depends on picking the hosted or SaaS deployment rather than opening a browser. For a small business with a tight budget and simple books, the whole model is heavier than it needs to be.
