Billdu Overview

Billdu is a user-friendly business invoicing software designed to help small businesses, freelancers, and entrepreneurs create, send, and track professional invoices with ease. It also offers tools for managing estimates, expenses, and client information, which ensures smooth financial operations.

With features like mobile access, templates, and payment tracking, Billdu provides an efficient way to streamline billing and maintain a professional image.

Key Features

  • Unlimited invoicing: Every plan, including Lite, sends unlimited invoices with status tracking, so nothing is metered by document count.
  • Estimates, quotes and delivery notes: Standard and Premium add unlimited estimates, quotes, delivery notes and inbound quote requests, which turns the app into a light sales pipeline.
  • Client records: Lite stores 10 clients, Standard 50 and Premium has no limit, counted across one business.
  • Expense tracking: Unlimited expense records on all three plans, with recurring expenses available on Premium.
  • Payment reminders and receipts: Standard and Premium send automatic reminders on overdue invoices and issue payment receipts once money arrives.
  • Recurring invoices: Premium schedules repeat billing so subscription and retainer work bills itself.
  • Client signature and attachments: All plans capture a signature on the document and attach photos, which suits trades signing off work on site.
  • Barcode scanner: Included from Lite upward for pulling stocked items onto an invoice.
  • Team access and accountant connection: One seat on Lite, up to two on Standard and up to 10 on Premium, with accountants counted in that total.
  • API and Xero connection: Premium exposes an API and a Xero link for pushing documents into a ledger.
  • Mobile and web apps: iOS, Android, tablet and browser access share one account; the iPhone app holds a 4.8 rating from roughly 26,000 US ratings.
  • Companion apps: Billdu also sells appointment booking, an online store and an instant website app on the same login.

Pros

Competitor Pros of Billdu
Zoho Invoice Billdu’s entry Lite plan is $4.99 a month on annual billing or $7.99 month to month, and it covers 10 clients with unlimited invoices, expense tracking, image attachments, client signature capture and a barcode scanner. Zoho Invoice costs nothing at all, but caps you at 500 invoices a year, two users and three projects, and stamps “Powered by Zoho Invoice” on documents. Billdu puts no ceiling on invoice volume at any tier.
FreshBooks Billdu Standard lifts you to 50 clients and two team seats, and adds unlimited estimates, quotes, delivery notes, payment reminders and payment receipts. FreshBooks starts at $23 a month for Lite, which allows five billable clients. For a business that mainly sends invoices and quotes, Billdu’s mid tier costs well under half of the FreshBooks entry plan.
QuickBooks Online Billdu Premium removes the client limit and allows up to 10 team members including accountants, plus recurring invoices, recurring expenses, API access and a Xero connection. QuickBooks Online’s cheapest plan, Simple Start, is $38 a month. Billdu is deliberately narrower, so you pay for invoicing and expense capture rather than a full ledger you may not use.
Xero Every Billdu plan works the same way on phone, tablet and web, and the iOS app holds a 4.8 rating from roughly 26,000 US App Store ratings. Xero’s US entry plan is $25 a month and meters you at 20 invoices a month. Billdu never caps invoice count, which suits trades and field work that bill in volume.
Wave Billdu Standard covers estimates, quotes, delivery notes and quote requests, none of which Wave’s free plan handles as a sales flow. Wave’s paid Pro plan is $19 a month and its free Starter tier charges 2.9% plus $0.60 per card transaction. Billdu also sells companion apps for appointments, an online store and an instant website under the same account.

Cons

Competitor Cons of Billdu
Zoho Invoice Zoho Invoice is free outright with no paid tier, while Billdu bills from the end of its 7-day trial and starts you at 10 clients. Zoho Invoice also sits inside the wider Zoho suite, so books, CRM and expense tools connect natively. Billdu keeps its Xero connection and API behind the Premium tier, and Xero is the only ledger link on its plan comparison.
FreshBooks FreshBooks carries time tracking, retainers and deeper financial reporting that Billdu does not attempt. Billdu holds recurring invoices and recurring expenses back for Premium, so anyone on Lite or Standard re-creates repeat bills by hand. FreshBooks Plus is $43 a month, but it covers reporting a service business can hand to an accountant.
QuickBooks Online QuickBooks Online runs bookkeeping, payroll and tax filing, from $38 a month for Simple Start to $275 for Advanced. Billdu’s own product list stops at invoicing, quotes, payments, expenses, financial reporting and an accountant connection, with no payroll or tax module. A business that needs an accountant-ready set of books will run Billdu alongside something else.
Xero Xero includes unlimited users on every plan and connects to more than 1,000 apps. Billdu allows one team member on Lite, two on Standard and up to 10 on Premium, and its own Xero connection is a Premium-only feature. Teams past ten people hit that seat ceiling with nowhere to upgrade.
Wave Wave’s Starter plan is $0 and still sends unlimited invoices, estimates and bills and keeps bookkeeping records, so a very small operation can run at no cost. Wave also imports bank transactions automatically on its paid tier. Billdu’s only free window is the 7-day trial, after which even the 10-client Lite tier is a paid subscription.
