Dealerware
Unified dealership fleet and customer mobility management platform
Updated July 28, 2026
Dealerware Overview
Dealerware is a dealership mobility and fleet management platform designed to run courtesy vehicles, rentals, valet, test drives and subscriptions from one system. Built mobile first, it handles contracting, insurance verification, toll and fuel recovery, integrated payments and customer communication.
The platform connects roughly 60,000 vehicles across nearly 2,000 dealerships in the United States and Canada and is a preferred or approved provider for OEM programmes from Audi, JLR, Ford, Lincoln, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Volvo. Dealerware grew out of Silvercar, which Audi acquired outright in 2017, and in January 2026 it was acquired by a group of growth investors led by Wavecrest Growth Partners and Radian Capital.
Key Features
Pricing
| Pricing Element | What Dealerware Publishes |
|---|---|
| List price | None. Dealerware has no pricing page, and every path on the site ends in Request a Demo. The site promises “simple pricing and flexible terms” without naming a rate. |
| How a quote is scoped | By programme and fleet. Rental, Courtesy, Valet, Test Drive and Subscription all run on the same platform, and Dealerware says Rental can be added to existing programmes under the same contract and the same pricing. |
| Paid enhancements | Connected Car Solutions, Toll Management Solutions, Insurance Verification and Rental Booking Sites are sold as Dealerware+ enhancements on top of the core platform. |
| Free trial or free plan | Neither is offered. Access starts with a demo request or an OEM programme enrolment. |
| Quote required | Yes. Dealers whose brand is not on the OEM partner list are directed to request a quote, and pricing arrives from sales. |

Pros
Competitor |
Pros |
|---|---|
| TSD Loaner | Dealerware is mobile first: contracts are created, signed and closed from a phone, and customers can add credentials and finish check-in on their own device before pickup. Toll Management Solutions and Insurance Verification then recover costs and check coverage automatically instead of leaving it to service advisers. |
| Fleetio | Fleetio is general fleet maintenance software; Dealerware is built for dealership programmes. It carries preferred or approved provider status with brands including Audi, JLR, Ford, Lincoln, Toyota, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Honda and Volvo, which matters when an OEM programme dictates the tooling. |
| RentWorks | Dealerware runs rental, courtesy, valet, test drive and subscription programmes on one platform and one contract, so adding rental is a configuration change rather than a new system. Integrated Payments capture holds and charges inside the same flow instead of a separate terminal. |
| LoanerTrack | Dealerware connects to vehicles directly through OEM integrations for live status and mileage, and reports on utilisation, availability and cost recovery. It operates at roughly 60,000 vehicles across nearly 2,000 dealerships in the US and Canada, which is a different scale of multi rooftop support. |
| CDK Service | Dealerware is a standalone platform, so a dealer is not tied to one DMS ecosystem to get mobility workflows. It also integrates outward: a Tekion partnership added self-service check-in and automated repair order tracking, and Dealerware runs an open API portal. |
Cons
Competitor |
Cons |
|---|---|
| TSD Loaner | Dealerware publishes no rates at all, so every comparison starts with a demo request. Smaller dealers running a handful of courtesy cars are paying for programme breadth, connected car data and analytics they may never switch on. |
| Fleetio | Dealerware is quote only and scoped by programme, which makes a quick budget comparison hard. It is also deliberately narrow: businesses outside automotive retail get little from a platform organised around OEM courtesy, rental and valet programmes. |
| RentWorks | Teams moving off a desk based rental system need change management, because Dealerware pushes work onto phones. Rental heavy operations may also miss traditional rental features that a dealership focused product does not prioritise. |
| LoanerTrack | LoanerTrack stays simpler for very small operations. Dealerware’s mobile apps are also its weakest reviewed surface: 3.2 out of 5 on Google Play and 2.7 out of 5 on the App Store, with complaints about search behaviour and cluttered check-in screens. |
| CDK Service | Dealers deeply embedded in CDK need integration planning, since Dealerware sits alongside the DMS rather than inside it. Ownership has also just changed: a growth investor group led by Wavecrest Growth Partners and Radian Capital acquired Dealerware in January 2026, so the roadmap is early in a new phase. |
Reviews
- G2 Review (Rating: 4.7/5): The score rests on only three reviews, all from 2021 and 2022, so treat it as a sample rather than a verdict. A digital marketing manager gave it 5/5 because “the option to complete loaner contracts through the phone app makes things so easy! Quick to complete and paperless!” and added that snapping pictures of driver’s licenses and insurance cards beats typing the details in and prevents typographical errors. Her only dislike was that she had none.
- Google Play Review (Rating: 3.2/5): The Android app sits well below the G2 score across 37 ratings. One user initially struggled because the app could not scan loaner car numbers and had to type them in, then thanked the team once scanning shipped. Others criticised a responsive search that fires before you finish typing, difficulty finding old clients, and a check-in screen that lists disposed vehicles and forces enough scrolling that they called it painfully time consuming.
- Apple App Store Review (Rating: 2.7/5): The iOS app, published by Silvercar Retail Automotive, averages 2.7 out of 5 from 52 ratings, the weakest signal of the three. Version 4.0.2 shipped on 14 July 2026 with release notes that say only “improved app stability and performance,” which matches the pattern reviewers describe of steady maintenance releases rather than headline features.
